Laminin G45 domain: a highly specific cancer target

Laminin G45

Laminin-332 undergoes processing of its G45 domain shortly after secretion and while it is undetectable in mature epithelial tissues such as skin, it is abundantly present in tissues showing active laminin expression such as squamous cell carcinomas. Figure legend shows diagram of laminin-332 structure and processing of G45 domain. Tissue panels show staining of human cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas (upper panels) or normal human skin (lower panels) using antibodies against indicated domains of laminin-332.
